Back in 2008, Cody Rhodes was in a mentor/student tag team with Hardcore Holly. It was good for him, and they were Tag Team Champions. Meanwhile, Ted DiBiase had put over his son, DiBiase Jr. Night of Champions was to be DiBiase’s first match as he and a mystery partner took on Holly and Rhodes.

Cody Rhodes would turn on Holly and ensure that the Tag Team Championship went to DiBiase, and then Rhodes would align with him. The group would eventually become known as Legacy. It was the first of two Tag Team Championships for DiBiase and Rhodes. The only title DiBiase would hold in WWE; unless you count the Million Dollar Championship.
