Sin Cara

Last Thursday, Lucha Libre Elite held a press conference at Arena Mexico, there the original Mistico, known to the WWE fans as Sin Cara announced that he is taking the name of Mistic 2.0. Mistic 2.0 continued the press conference and stated that he had no official contract with AAA, so he was able to leave when he felt like it.

Mistic said that he asked them for a contract for months, but he didn’t receive one. Mistic said that he had permission from ELITE to work his final AAA dates, but he said that he was shocked and disrespected that AAA pulled him.

Mistic claimed to own the rights to the Myzteziz themed mask. That’s why he was wearing it, but now his new look would be a hybrid of all his previous looks and gimmicks. Mistic said that he would fight the new Mistico if the chance arrived, even for the name if the fans wanted it. Mistic talked about how his brother Argenis & Argos is still working for AAA and that he hasn’t recruited anyone from AAA to join him in ELITE.

The biggest news from the press conference was the fact that ELITE announced that EMLL has let them take over the Sunday shows at Arena Mexico starting on 11/8. ELITE also mentioned that the ill-fated Liga Elite tournament was dropped although they may bring it back in the future.
