There must be an honorable mention to the rematch at Backlash the next month between these three. It’s just so difficult to beat the emotional payoff of watching Shawn Michael vs. Triple H on the grandest stage of them all. The greatest emotional payoff was watching Chris Benoit finally become World Champion and celebrate with the late-great Eddie Guererro.

The match featured two of the best wrestlers ever and the best technical wrestler of a generation. With the ill fate of Benoit, it’s easy to forget how badly people wanted him to succeed and prevail at Wrestlemania 20. At least on that night, the world got the epic match and epic moment we deserved.
