It was just a few weeks ago that we were wondering whether the Undertaker would be returning to WWE at all this WrestleMania, but it seems those worries were unfounded. The Deadman will actually be returning even sooner than expected.

The 900th episode of SmackDown will be broadcast live from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre Township, Pennsylvania on November 15th. The special milestone will be celebrated by an appearance from the Undertaker, as revealed by the venue’s Twitter account.

It’s possible that this could be the start of the build toward WrestleMania, but it seems odd that WWE might undercut the hype for Survivor Series and its Lesnar vs Goldberg main event with a televised appearance from the Undertaker in promotion of an event even further down the line. It seems more likely that this will be a dark segment intended only for the fans in attendance at the event.

This is all speculation, of course. One thing’s for certain–the Undertaker is not yet done in WWE.
