The Rock hasn’t been featured in WWE since Wrestlemania 32, and the expectation is that we wouldn’t see him next year’s show. He may not even appear, but it’s in Orlando. It’s almost a guarantee that we’ll see The Great One at the biggest show of the year.

However, there is a rumor going around that we could see The People’s Champion much sooner than the grandest stage of them all. In fact, we could see him as early as next weekend in Toronto for “Survivor Series” in a surprise appearance for the fans.

According to a report from Sportskeeda.com, next week’s edition of SmackDown will be the 900th episode of the show’s history. Edge will have a “Cutting Edge” segment and the return of The Undertaker is confirmed. WWE is likely to pull a few more surprises.

There is a rumor that The Rock could be one of them. After all, his history with the brand is well known and he hasn’t been on SmackDown in some time. The rumor is also stating it would just be the beginning and lead to an appearance at “Survivor Series.”
