Now if only they can fix the main roster show. According to 411mania.com, WWE has announced the debut of a new show called “205 Live” which will premiere at some point in November on the WWE Network. The show will focus on cruiserweights under the 205 pound mark, which basically makes it a weekly show in the vein of the Cruiserweight Classic.

This is in contrast to the main roster cruiserweight division, which has no weight limit. There is no word at the moment if this will change the cruiserweight division on “Monday Night Raw”, though several names announced for “205 Live”, including Brian Kendrick, TJ Perkins, Rich Swann, Cedric Alexander and Lince Dorado. Several other names from the Cruiserweight Classic are included as well, such as Noam Dar, HoHo Lun, Gran Metallik, Tozawa, Jack Gallagher, Gurv Sihra and Harv Sihra.

Odds are this is the beginning of the end for the cruiserweights on Monday nights. At the end of the day, no matter how WWE wants to look at it, the division isn’t working. The big arena audiences don’t seem to care and there’s way too much going on already to have another division squeezed in for two appearances a week. Putting them on the WWE Network worked before and it should work again as a showcase instead of something on par with the rest of “Monday Night Raw”.
