That can happen. Wrestling today has become much more athletic and fast paced than at any point in history. So many matches have several high impact and high flying move, which have made things even harder to control. It certainly isn’t a modern issue though, as wrestlers have been banged up and knocked out in the ring for decades. That is what happened again this week.

The main event of this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite was a fairly chaotic four team tag match between the Young Bucks, Butcher and Blade, the Dark Order and Private Party. The winners of the match would earn a Tag Team Titles shot against FTR at Full Gear, meaning the teams were even more locked in than usual. However, one of them went from locked out to knocked out.

During the match, Private Party hit a top rope splash/top rope legdrop combination, with Isaiah Kassidy’s leg hitting Alex Reynolds’ face. Reynolds was knocked out on the floor for a few minutes and did not get back into the match. In a new video that has surfaced on Twitter, AEW Vice President Cody came out to check on Reynolds, who walked out on his own power. There is no word on Reynolds possibly missing any ring time.

It was a nasty situation. Check out the landing and the post show situation:

Opinion: What matters most here is that Reynolds was able to get back up and walk off on his own, which suggests that the injury was not that bad. Either way though, it is a scary situation to have someone knocked out for any length of time. Reynolds has found a nice spot for himself as part of the Dark Order and it would be a shame for something like this to derail him for any amount of time.

What do you think of Reynolds? How will his time in the Dark Order go? Let us know in the comments below.
