I guess he’s not a fan. There have been all kinds of stories taking place over this year and that will likely be the case for the final two months as well. Some of these stories are going to get more attention than others, though a few can get more interesting as time passes and more details emerge. That is the case with one story from earlier in the year and it now impacts someone else on the roster.

Back in June, Paul Heyman was fired as Executive Director of Monday Night Raw. This came after over a year under Heyman’s watch, during which several changes had taken place. One of the biggest was Heyman getting to select the wrestlers that he wanted to have on his show, but there were some that he flat out turned down. Now we can add another to that list.

According to Fightful Select, Heyman turned down an offer to have Braun Strowman moved to Monday Night Raw at some point during his time in charge. It is not clear when this took place, as Strowman was sent to SmackDown during the 2019 WWE Draft in October. Heyman did not want Strowman on the show as he wanted the show to be built around younger, less established wrestlers.

This might have been a mistake. Check out what Heyman passed on:

Opinion: I can understand this line of thinking as Strowman does not exactly fit the mold that Heyman tends to follow. Strowman is a straight power guy and Heyman tends to like the more character driven wrestlers. Maybe Strowman could have gotten there someday, but I can understand why Heyman wanted to pass. He was great at developing characters, but it’s a little hard to do that with how Strowman had been seen before.

What did you think of Heyman’s time running Monday Night Raw? How could he have used Strowman? Let us know in the comments below.
