He’s a hands on boss. AEW has shaken up a lot of things as they have come in as an instantly strong, mainstream alternative to WWE. There are a lot of reasons that this has taken place, but as simple as it may sound, the biggest reason of them all is the fact that they have the financial backing to make it work. With Tony Khan backing the company, they came into the battle at an advantage and it turns out, Khan has more to offer than just that.
After this week’s AEW Dynamite went off the air, a post show segment took place with Cody and Dustin Rhodes, Nick Jackson and referee Audrey Edwards came to the ring. Shawn Spears, who had competed in the final match of the night for Dark, was still in the ring and took a Stone Cold Stunner from both Edwards and Khan, who got in the ring as well. This was likely a tribute to Steve Austin, who turned fifty five years old on Wednesday.
It was a heck of a night. Check out the back to back Stunners:
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that is quite the moment for the company as you can let the fans have come fun in something that isn’t going to hurt anything. Khan has shown that he is someone who is a huge wrestling fan and so far he has not shown up on any AEW television more than in a short cameo. There is nothing wrong with something like this and just let the people have some fun after the show is over.
