It’s kind of an awkward subject. While wrestlers have all kinds of feuds and stories to deal with on screen, there are also stories that don’t make the camera. However, some of these are stories that pop up every now and then with either a direct or indirect reference. Some of these are built off of real life issues between wrestlers and one of those stories made some waves this weekend.
In a new video posted to WWE’s YouTube channel, Matt Riddle talked about a tense meeting with Goldberg, where Goldberg did not like being called “bro”. This stems from a video Riddle put out earlier in the summer, complaining about Goldberg’s submission skills. On the same night, Riddle was part of the Summerslam watch along panel and talked about using the Jackhammer during live events, which he now calls the Brohammer and claims to do better than Goldberg.
It’s a double shot of clips. Check out the discussion of Riddle meeting Goldberg and then the full panel, with the Goldberg discussion beginning at around 30:00:
Opinion: This is one of those stories that is hard to place. Riddle vs. Goldberg doesn’t seem to be a match that is going to take place though Riddle really does not seem to like Goldberg whatsoever. I’m not sure why that would be the case but maybe it will lead to something down the line. Riddle seems to be ready to move up to the main roster and wants to go after some big names, though I’m not sure if that is going to happen anytime soon.
Do you think this match is going to happen? When will Riddle be promoted? Let us know in the comments below.
