You can make Sunday right? WWE produces a ridiculous amount of content almost every given week and that is the kind of thing that can make for some interesting situations. At the same time though, it can also lead to some overkill, as there are often times where there is just too much going on in such a short span. That might be the case again in a big way next month.
We are less than a month away from Summerslam and that means things are cranking up. WWE usually does a better job with these top shows and Summerslam is pretty far up there on the list of important events. The event should serve as a night to blow off several feuds, but as it turns out, there might be something else on the schedule that could make things play out a little differently.
According to the WrestleVotes Twitter account, WWE has added another pay per view to the schedule, with Payback taking place on Sunday August 30, one week after Summerslam. This slot had been rumored for the Evolution 2 pay per view event, though that show could still take place at another time. It is not clear what kind of, if any, gimmick Payback will have. WWE presented Payback annually from 2013 – 2017.
For whatever reason, WWE has added an additional PPV to the schedule, ONE week after SummerSlam.
Payback will take place August 30th.

Payback is an interesting name. Check out some wrestlers getting payback over the years:
Opinion: I really hope that WWE has some kind of a twist ready for this show as the idea of having another pay per view just a week after one of their biggest shows of the year does not exactly sound appealing. WWE has long since been accused of having too much content and that would seem to be the case again here. What could they have planned that they can’t just put at Summerslam?
