That will get people talking. AEW has become one of the most important places in all of wrestling as they are now offering something new for both wrestlers and fans. After years of WWE’s complete dominance of the wrestling world, AEW is offering a new major place for the wrestlers to go. That is something that fans have been waiting for, but one development may not be what they had in mind.

AEW is currently filling a role that a lot of fans had wanted from Impact Wrestling for years. However, Impact Wrestling never reached such a level for any sustained period of time, which was the case for several reasons. One of the less popular moves that they continued to make was bringing in every WWE star they could, which AEW has not done as badly. There may have been an exception this week.

AEW has announced that they will be running a women’s tag team tournament later this summer. During this week’s Dynamite, former WWE star Cameron, now known as Ariane, made her debut and announced that she will be Nyla Rose’s partner for the tournament. There is no word on if this is a one off appearance or a long term deal. Ariane’s most recent match took place at a WWE live event on March 6, 2016.

You might not remember Ariane. Check out her time in the ring:

Opinion: This is one of the weirder choices that AEW has made over the last year and I’m not sure if it is one of their better ones. Ariane was never known as someone who was going to be strong in the ring and she has not wrestled in years. She comes off as a perfect example of what was disliked about the Divas era and I’m not sure why WWE would want to promote that, unless it is as a manager or in a one off appearance.

What do you expect from Ariane? Was this a bad move? Let us know in the comments below.
