Some people have wanted it for years. The New Day is one of the most successful groups in the history of wrestling. They have dominated both Tag Team Titles over the years and Kofi Kingston even won the WWE Championship last year for the peak of their accomplishments. Kingston’s win was a game changer, but what if someone else had a big chance of their own?

Back in July, Kingston announced that he had suffered an injury during the tables match at Extreme Rules. As Xavier Woods is still recovering from his torn Achilles, only Big E. is left for the time being. This means that he is receiving a singles push, which is something that a lot of fans have been wanting to see for a very long time now. So how far is this expected to go?

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the Big E. singles push is leading to a title shot of some sort, though it is not known which title it will be. There is a chance that Big E. is being built up for a shot at the Fiend, should the Fiend win the Universal Title. The other option is to have him challenge AJ Styles for the Intercontinental Title, which Big E. has held before. Big E. has been undefeated since moving to singles wrestling.

Things have gone well so far. Check out Big E.’s singles runs over the years:

Opinion: I’m one of those people who thinks that pushing the heck out of Big E. is a good idea. He has the size, the look, the talking abilities and the resume to make something like this work. Hopefully he can get his chance to move forward in WWE and that does not mean that New Day has to be destroyed. There is a real chance that he could become a major star and he has to start somewhere.

What do you think of Big E.? How far can he go on his own? Let us know in the comments below.
