I’d call it a dream match. There are a lot of legends in the wrestling world but a lot of them might not be able to actually get in the ring against each other. This can be the case for a lot of different reasons, but one of the biggest can simply be a matter of timing. Some wrestlers don’t work together at the same time and can’t do anything to make a match work. That is the case with two legends who have been talking about a match.

There may never be a bigger star to come out of wrestling than the Rock. After several years in the ring, the Rock went Hollywood and became one of the biggest movie stars in the world, but he still pops back into the wrestling world every now and then. That has made a lot of fans wonder who they might be able to see him face, and one current major WWE star certainly seems interested.

On Thursday, Daniel Bryan challenged the Rock to a match on Twitter, and the Rock said let’s do it. Bryan said that he wanted to face the Rock for the sole reason of the amount of times he has heard the Rock’s song You’re Welcome from the movie Moana, as Bryan’s daughter insists that they listen to it. Rock responded, saying he would be jobbing again in the spirit of being a girl dad. Rock also congratulated Bryan on the birth of his new son. There is no indication that Rock is actually returning to the ring for another match at any point in the future.

Who do you have? Check out the two legends in action:

Opinion: While I can’t imagine the idea of this match actually taking place, every fan fantasy books something like this at one point or another. Bryan vs. Rock isn’t a match that is likely going to happen, which makes it one of those great “what if” matches that can be so much fun. If nothing else, it is very nice to see Rock still interested in wrestling and getting involved in discussions on it. Not bad for the biggest actor in Hollywood.
