Pat McAfee Responds To Triple H’s Challenge On ESPN’s “Get Up”

It’s on now. Yesterday, WWE COO Triple H appeared on ESPN’s “Get Up” program, challenging Pat McAfee to face Adam Cole in a match at NXT Takeover: XXX. This was the result of a pair of altercations that occurred between the two on both McAfee’s show and this week’s episode of NXT.

The former punter happily accepted The Game’s challenge and will now face Cole at the upcoming pay-per-view event. This had been confirmed by WWE earlier in the day, but was now verbally confirmed from McAfee on television.

McAfee was signed by WWE to be a commentator for NXT in the early part of 2019. He has never wrestled a match for the company.

I said it yesterday and I will say it again: everyone that has participated in this storyline has done a masterful job of storytelling. I am actually quite excited for this match, not only because Adam Cole is an incredible wrestler, but also because I feel that the former NFL star is going to give us a better showing than most people expect!
