WRESTLING RUMORS: Reigning WWE Champion Possibly Injured, Pulled From Weekend Live Events

Down for now? Injuries are some of the worst things that can happen to any wrestler as you never know when you are going to see someone put on the shelf for any length of time. This can happen to anyone at any time, including reigning champions. Unfortunately that appears to be the case again and now we are waiting to see just how bad things are going to be.

According to the Sportster.com, Asuka was pulled from the weekend’s WWE live events following a possible foot injury last week’s SmackDown. The injury would have taken place during a brawl with Bayley and Naomi after the show’s main event. There is no word on how long she will be out of the ring. Asuka, currently one half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions along with Kairi Sane as the Kabuki Warriors, is not scheduled for a match at WrestleMania or anywhere else at the moment.

Opinion: That isn’t good to see and now all we can do is sit around and wait on the diagnosis. If nothing else, this is rather horrible for the titles, which at this point might as well officially be declared cursed. There is no word on how long Asuka might be out of action, but my goodness it would be a shame if it had to be any significant amount of time. She is far too good to be sitting on the sidelines, even though she already was this weekend.
