Several NXT Superstars have made themselves known to the WWE Universe on RAW and SmackDown Live over the past few months. In fact, a number of these Superstars are expected to transition into full-time members of the main roster in the coming months. This includes Lars Sullivan.
As some fans may recall, Sullivan has been promoted as coming to the main roster since Survivor Series last year. He’d reportedly been planned to have a reveal alongside the other competitors who were soon bundled with him the month after, but Vince McMahon had decided to air the packages a month earlier.
Here is the package that fans would see:
Sullivan was expected to do bright things after finally making his debut. In fact, it has long been reported that Sullivan was intended to start a storyline with John Cena prior to the Royal Rumble that would’ve resulted in a WrestleMania bout between the two. That match has now obviously changed- with Cena likely having a new opponent.
In an update to the story, Pro Wrestling Sheet recently confirmed through their sources that Sullivan is in “a good place” right now. This comes after the anxiety attack he had prior to his debut that was supposed to take place back during an episode of RAW before the Royal Rumble.
Given the situation the company had with Mauro Ranallo a few years back, they have become more aware of the situation and conversation around mental health. They are understanding with Sullivan, and seem to be actively helping him in any way they can.
In addition to that, Wrestling News is reporting that they’ve heard speculation that Sullivan could be an entrant in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royale at WrestleMania this year. If he does join the match, it is possible he could take the victory in a similar fashion to Baron Corbin- emerging in his debut with the trophy.
Editor’s Note:
I’m wishing Sullivan all the best. Hope he is able to improve his mental health and anxiety because he could be a major player whenever he rises.
Do you think Sullivan will debut in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royale? Do you see him as a future Champion on the main roster?
