That’s certainly one way to go. With less than a month away from WrestleMania 35, you can see some of the card starting to come together. While nothing has been officially confirmed for the show just yet, there are a few things that have been all but set in stone for the biggest night of the year. One of these things is a title match, and the rumored result might surprise you.

According to Brad Shepard on the Oh, You Didn’t Know podcast, the current plan for the SmackDown World Title match at WrestleMania calls for Daniel Bryan to retain the title against Kofi Kingston. While Kingston has been on a major roll in recent weeks and has widespread support, the more important plan seem to be to keep Bryan strong going forward. There is a chance that things could change and Kingston could leave as champion, but it isn’t in the cards at the moment.

Apparently we won’t be seeing this again. Check out what started Kofimania:

Opinion: I refuse to believe that WWE would actually mess up something this badly. This is one of the biggest layups for a title change that they’ve had in years and now they might not go that way? Kingston can lose the title back on SmackDown Live two days later. All that matters is the title win and Bryan can pick right back up where he left off. I get the idea behind what WWE would do but I can’t agree with passing up on something being handed to them on a pancake platter.
