One of the legends in the world of professional wrestling is hanging them up. According to a report from F4WOnlineJushin “Thunder” Liger has announced that he will be retiring this coming January.

During a press conference this morning, Liger, who is now 54 years old, said that he hopes to wrestle all around the world until the next Tokyo Dome card in January, which will be his final match. Furthermore, he hopes to wrestle at the G1 Supercard event next month at Madison Square Garden.

Liger has been a legend in the world of professional wrestling for over 30 years. He appeared for WCW in the 90s, as well as competed in NXT in 2015 against Tyler Breeze.

I remember watching Liger in WCW, while growing up as a kid, and he was always very impressive. Seeing him compete in the NXT banner was wonderful as well, and while I am sad to not be able to see him compete anymore, I am happy for him and his retirement!
