The internet giveth, and the internet taketh away.

We here at Wrestling Rumors do, in fact, manage a site with “rumors” in the title. When we publish fake reports, we make it clear that they’re not real. Or, at least, we’re very sarcastic about it.

Some significantly less scrupulous folks decided to “spoil” the main event for 2017’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view with an exclusive reveal of the show’s poster.

It advertises a 2 out of 3 falls match for the WWE Championship.

That would be a great match, but sadly Dave Meltzer has confirmed with WWE officials that it’s a fake.

Cena and Styles will be squaring off with the championship on the line at the Royal Rumble, but beyond that? We don’t know. Popular speculation and rumors have put the Undertaker somewhere in SmackDown’s main event scene before WrestleMania, but the Deadman hasn’t been seen since his ominous warning ahead of Survivor Series.

But hey, I’ll break some news here about Elimination Chamber, since we’ve got totally real, secret sources that have leaked some match details to us. There will be an Elimination Chamber match at Elimination Chamber.

There you go! Look forward to it!
