SmackDown ended with a triple threat for the WWE Championship that saw AJ Styles defending against both Dolph Ziggler and Baron Corbin.

This match could be seen as a star-making moment for the Lone Wolf, because he looked awesome here. Whether that’s on him or his veteran opponents remains to be seen, but the end result is the same.

It was an incredible match that saw Styles retain the title by pinning Ziggler after an End of Days from Corbin.

This might even be a late match of the year candidate, but we’ll have to discuss that here in the Wrestling Rumors office.

After the match, John Cena appeared to shake AJ’s hand and challenge him for the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble, setting up another classic in the making.
