SmackDown’s Wild Card Finals kicked off with the return of John Cena, but it wasn’t long before we got right into the action, with the New Wyatt Family defending the Tag Team Championship in a Four Corners Elimination Match.

It was a terrific match, even with the early elimination of both Heath Slater & Rhyno and the Usos. It came down to American Alpha and the Wyatts, with the showdown between the two teams taking the bulk of the match.

The end result was a shocker–after an accidental distraction from Luke Harper, the Alphas isolated Orton and took him down to become the new SmackDown Tag Team Champions.

NXT fans know how good Alpha are, and despite a twinge of disappointment over the short reign of the new Wyatts, I couldn’t be more excited for the the new champions.

We’ll expect a rematch between the Wyatts and Alpha, but dissent between Orton and Harper could sooner lead us to a Wyatt breakup and new rivalry there. Either way, the upcoming matches promise to be great.
