CM PUNK promo/ CM PUNK def. *Intercontinental Champion* CURTIS AXEL in a Fight: MARKED OUT!

GREAT promo from Punk and Heyman. Punk got so heated that he harassed a fan that was harassing him…which is ALWAYS awesome. Good verbage, great fight. Punk with the GTS on the steel steps was great.

BRAY WYATT def. R-TRUTH: MARKED OUT!

I like Bray Wyatt. I don’t care what the marks are saying about his character so far, he will progress into someone that matters, and you can count on that. This was just a squash match for him to go over though.

THE USOS def. 3MB: MARKED OUT!

GREAT tag match. The Usos, The Shield, Real Americans, and the PTP are proving that the tag division is moving out of “Terrible” and heading towards “Good.” Good match, good face tag team in the Usos. NEXT!

THE MIZ def. WADE BARRETT via DQ: MARKED OUT!

This was a pretty good match from bell-to-bell, with Fandango attacking the Miz at the finish. Was a Guillotine Leg Drop that guy has. Very Lance Storm-ish.

Expect a feud b/w ‘Dango and Miz to last a little while.

RANDY ORTON’s WWE Championship Coronation Ceremony: MARKED OUT!

LOVED this segment. Triple H dragged a little bit, but brought that old school heel Trips intensity to the promo he cut. Then you have Vince, Steph, Trips, and Orton all on the same page ready to move into the Orton era, and Bryan comes out at the request of Triple H.

The Shield beating Bryan down is classic heel greatness. Now there’s “Corporate muscle” in the “Hounds of Justice.” This can only lead to great programs between all involved for the rest of the year, possibly even all the way to WrestleMania. We’ll have to see what happens next, but I for one am VERY excited about it.

RAW 08/19/13 OVERALL: MARKED OUT!

I thought Monday’s Post-SummerSlam show was pretty good. It could have been better, but it was still good.

The Bryan/Corporation angle is good for me. It works. It’s predictable, but it works. Predictable is not bad people. Let’s just enjoy the product we’re getting right now, because it has been YEARS since anyone has been THIS excited about the WWE product…ESPECIALLY in the summer months.
