The official Facebook page of the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California has announced that Rey Mysterio will make his WWE return this Friday night, August 23rd during a WWE Live event in their arena. The page lists Mysterio as “Just Added” to the show.
Mysterio has not competed for the WWE since March, when an attack from Mark Henry left the high-flyer with an injured knee. The former WWE and World Heavyweight Champion had surgery on June 19th (6/19…yeah…that happened), and is said to be back in fighting shape.
The page does not confirm whether or not Mysterio will be wrestling or just making an appearance, but it looks like Mr. 619 is set for a full WWE return very soon.
