Recently, Dana Brooke and former WWE Champion Batista have been heavily teasing a relationship on Twitter. However, it was recently revealed that Brooke has even more buzzworthy news. According to Sports Illustrated, Brooke has signed a five-year contract with the company, so she will not be going anywhere soon.
Although Brooke has not been a top star during any part of her main roster tenure, the former bodybuilder is still optimistic about her future.
“I just signed a new five-year deal in WWE, and part of my goal is to build my own personal brand,” Brooke told SI. “And women empowerment is a key in the success of my career and a key for WWE. We can do what the male wrestlers have done over the years, and now women are finally being given that chance. That also means that I get the chance to show what I can do, and I really believe that 2020 is going to be the year that people see a different side of me.”
Last week, Brooke was unsuccessful in her attempt to defeat SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley. On the latest episode of SmackDown, Brooke had another opportunity to gain a victory over the champion. However, she lost again.
On the November 8, 2019 episode of SmackDown, Brooke and Carmella were able to defeat Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose to become members of Team SmackDown led, by Sasha Banks. At Survivor Series, Brooke was the fifth person eliminated from the match, getting pinned by Asuka.
Over the past few months, Brooke has mainly been competing episodes of Main Event, against primarily Lacey Evans and Sarah Logan. Although she is unsuccessful in her attempts to defeat Evans, she has been able to trade wins with the former Riott Squad member.
Weeks before WrestleMania, Brooke was bold enough to step up to then-Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey, but was destroyed in their match against each other.
