The inability of Reigns to get over with the crowd poses a great problem for the WWE, if their rumored plans to feature Reigns in the main event actually comes to fruition. Joining the ranks beating drums of “turn Roman Reigns heel,” Vince Russo recently provided a similar solution, according to inquisitr.com:
“I would have him go out there, cut a promo just like he was going to cut tonight [on Monday Night RAW] and tell him, ‘Roman, if the crowd starts getting hostile, tell them how you really feel.’ Don’t script him, just let him go and immediately you got the guy over as a heel. Now you got [Dean] Ambrose confronting him, ‘what the hell are you doing? What’s going on?’ and then Reigns saying, ‘I’m sick of it! I’m sick of going out there every week and listening to these people.’”
Editor’s Note: Turning Reigns heel seems like a logical solution to the Roman Reigns dilemma, but does little to solve the WWE’s rumored “Wrestlemania 32” dilemma. If their plan is to have Reigns face Rollins, they need to get Reigns over as a babyface, yet that does not seem to be happening. This situation has shades of the “Batista dilemma” back in the lead-up to “Wrestlemania XXX.” The crowd will defy the wishes of WWE.
