2. Christian Debuts and Wins the Light Heavyweight Championship

It may not be the gimmick, or persona that ultimately made Christian one of the most decorated wrestlers in WWE history, but before he was Captain Charisma; he was just Christian.

A few weeks before, Christian debuted at ringside by distracting Edge during his matches. His first match was against Taka Michinoku, who was the WWF Light Heavyweight Champion. With Gangrel as his manager, Christian eventually countered the Michinoku Driver and cradled the champion for the pinfall and his first WWE championship.

Christian would change his character dramatically over the years, but he’d also win many more championships and have a great career in WWE and elsewhere.
