VIDEO: Vince McMahon’s Surprise Praise For A WWE Superstar

That’s some high praise. There is no bigger name in all of wrestling than Vince McMahon. An endorsement from him can make a wrestler’s career and that is the kind of thing you can only hope for at some point. Some wrestlers are going to impress him right off the bat though and that seems to be the case with someone who is still quite the newcomer to WWE.

Earlier this year, Rey Mysterio’s son Dominik began his in-ring career and immediately jumped into the deep end by feuding with former World Champion Seth Rollins. Dominik fought alongside and with his father against Rollins and Murphy while finding some success of his own. The results have been fairly strong and he has impressed the person whose opinion matters the most.

WWE has released a clip from the WWE Network Special The Day: Summerslam 2020, which features Dominik speaking with McMahon backstage. McMahon congratulates Dominik after his match against Seth Rollins and says few people get that kind of a reaction ever, no matter how long they have been in the business. He also says that Dominik should be proud of himself. Dominik has continued to feud with Rollins since losing at Summerslam.

Opinion: That’s some high praise no matter what and Dominik does indeed deserve to be proud. I know he probably isn’t ready for this spot, but how many people can pop into a major spot like this and look completely fine in the ring like him? Dominik is still a rookie but he looks fairly polished, which is a lot more than some wrestlers can say. I’m curious to see where his career goes, but he is off to a good start.
