Who says we’re finished? Some feuds in wrestling have quite the shelf life, with a few of them going on for a very long time. Such feuds can be hit or miss, as you will see some that warrant every second of their time while others feel like they are being dragged every step of the way. WWE currently seems to be working on a long term feud, and now we know it has some more life to it.

Back at this year’s Royal Rumble, Edge made a shocking return to the ring after a nine year absence. The return included eliminating former partner Randy Orton, setting off a new feud between the two of them. Edge would go on to defeat Orton at WrestleMania 36 while Orton would beat him at Backlash. However, Edge tore his tricep during the match, putting him on the shelf. Now though, WWE might have some longer term plans in mind.

This week on Monday Night Raw, Edge cut a promo on Orton, promising to come back for revenge for what Orton did to both Edge and Christian. Orton Punted Edge at Backlash and then did the same to Christian the following night on Monday Night Raw. This would suggest that another match is planned between the two, though it is not clear how long Edge will be out of action following his surgery.

Oh I think he’s still got it. Check out Edge’s promo on Orton:

Opinion: I’m really not sure how this is going to go but it could be interesting to see what WWE does when Edge gets back. The problem is how long that could take, as Orton is going to have a lot of time to fill before we get there. That being said, Orton has been on a roll as of late and it could make for some interesting time until Edge is back. I’m curious to see where they go, but I could also go for Edge facing someone other than Orton.
