The card keeps growing. WWE likes to throw out a lot of pay per views on a regular basis and that means it is going to take some creativity to come up with a special feature every time around. In July it will be Extreme Rules, which is going to need a card to live up to the name. Some of those matches are pretty clear on paper, but now we have another one written in stone.

Back in May, Becky Lynch threw a major curve ball into the Raw women’s division by vacating the title she had held for over a year. Her absence was going to cause some issues for a lot of the division and that was going to be case as the vacuum was filled in. Someone new was going to have to step up and so far, Asuka has done just that. She needs a fresh challenger though and one was found this week.

During this week’s Monday Night Raw, Sasha Banks and Bayley successfully defended the Women’s Tag Team Titles against the IIconics. After the match was over, Banks said that she wanted a title shot and challenged Asuka for Extreme Rules. Asuka came out and accepted, triggering a brawl with Banks and Bayley beating Asuka down. The two have only met in one singles match, with Asuka defeating Banks on the January 29, 2018 Monday Night Raw.

The two are both on a roll. Check out their recent efforts:

Opinion: Well it is different and something other than Nia Jax or Charlotte. Banks jumping brands for a title shot is fine enough as the division has been turned upside down with Lynch leaving. Hopefully we wind up getting a good match, but the money seems to be in Banks vs. Bayley at some point down the line. Unfortunately it has been “down the line” for a long time now and the interest seems to be fading. For now though, this should work fine.

How do you see the match going? Is Banks the best challenger? Let us know in the comments below.
