See you later. The SpeakOut movement has changed the way the wrestling world works in a very short amount of time. With so many wrestling names being accused of so many unacceptable things, it is clear that some people are going to be punished severely. That is the kind of thing that needs to happen and now it is happening to a fairly big name in a major promotion.

One of the biggest issues in the entire SpeakOut movement is what wrestlers have said before. With Twitter and other forms of social media, it is almost impossible to completely wipe out your history of statements, especially once they have been out there for a good while. That is the case with someone in AEW, who is going to be going away for the time being.

AEW has announced that they have suspended Sammy Guevara without pay until further notice. This comes after Guevara’s tweets from 2016 regarding wanting to rape Sasha Banks have come to light. Guevara will be undergoing sensitivity training, during which his salary will be donated to the Women’s Center of Jacksonville. Guevara was scheduled to face Matt Hardy at this week’s Dynamite.

There are some other options here. Check out some of AEW’s women’s division:

Opinion: AEW had to do this and there was no question about it. What else are they supposed to do in this situation? Guevara’s comments are not going to fly anywhere at any time and he should be punished for what he said. It makes sense to do something like this but it is also what should be done no matter what. I’d like to see him back, but he needs to be gone for the time being.

Will Guevara be back? Is the punishment appropriate? Let us know in the comments below.
