One less name on the list. The SpeakOut movement has changed the way the wrestling world works and that is going to be the case for a long time to come. The entire situation is ripping back a veil on a horrible aspect of the wrestling industry and that problem is likely to be going on for a long time to come. There are going to be a lot of people being knocked out of the industry and now a promotion might be gone as well.

One of the more prominent names included in the movement has been Joey Ryan, who has been accused of groping female wrestlers, including some who worked for his Bar Wrestling promotion. The California based promotion was becoming a bigger stop on the independent circuit and that is a good thing for the wrestlers involve. Now though, things might be changing in a bad way.

According to So Cal Uncensored, Bar Wrestling has closed as a result of the accusations against Ryan. The Bootleg Theater, where the promotion ran shows in Los Angeles, has ended its agreement with the company and the company’s videos have been deleted from the Highspots Wrestling Network. Bar Wrestling or Ryan have yet to release a statement on the company’s future.

We might need a different Bar here. Check out the WWE version:

Opinion: This is the kind of thing you had to expect as Ryan’s name is going to be toxic for a long time now. Bar Wrestling is his company and a lot of people aren’t going to want to be involved with him or anything that he is doing at the moment. There is a real chance that Ryan is done in wrestling, but at the same time, it is a shame to see wrestlers losing a place to work when they had nothing to do with any of this.

Is Bar Wrestling done? Will Ryan ever be back in wrestling in a big way? Let us know in the comments below.
