We’re not done yet. The holiday season is upon us and that means things are going to be a little bit different in WWE for the time being. Since the company isn’t ruthless enough to run live shows on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, they are trying as hard as they can to get everything done in time. They still have to do a few things live though, which included a live SmackDown on Friday night. The show wasn’t done when the cameras went off though.
This week’s SmackDown ended with a tag match between Daniel Bryan and the Miz vs. King Corbin/Dolph Ziggler. After Bryan and Miz won, a triple threat match was announced next week with Miz vs. Bryan vs. Corbin for the #1 contendership to the Universal Title at the Royal Rumble on the line. That means the winner will get a match with the Fiend, who made his presence known.
After the show went off the air, the Fiend appeared and attacked all four men in succession. The Fiend easily destroyed all four of them before disappearing and leaving them laying. While the Fiend did not appear on the show, his laughter was heard to end the night after the tag match came to an end. There is no word on when Fiend will next appear, though he will be defending his title at Royal Rumble at the latest.
It was a handicap beatdown. Check out Fiend’s appearance after SmackDown:
Opinion: This is one of those things that you have to do at some point as it makes a lot of sense to bring Fiend out. Fiend is one of the biggest star on the show and it gives the show a bigger feeling. He really is someone you have to see in person to appreciated so it gives the fans a bit of a thrill. It’s fine if he doesn’t wrestle as just having him show up is more than enough as it’s a bit of a special circumstance.
What is next for Fiend? Who will take the title from him? Let us know in the comments below.
