I’d call that a career upgrade. There are a lot of incredibly talented people on the WWE roster these days. That has created some awesome moments and matches over the last year or two and that is the kind of thing that fans can certainly enjoy. At the same time though it can be hard to find a place for everyone on the roster, but one name got a nice step up the ladder this week.
Over the last few weeks, WWE has offered up a fresh feud between Aleister Black and Buddy Murphy. The two of them are young stars who have been given a chance to show what they can do and the first two matches have both been rather entertaining. Their match at Tables, Ladders And Chairs stole the night and it was clear that WWE had something with both of them. That was on display again in a big way on Monday.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Murphy joined forces with Seth Rollins and the AOP as he helped them win their Fist Fight against Big Show, Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe. Murphy attacked Big Show, allowing Rollins to hit him with a Stomp to end the match. This came after Murphy was defeated by Black for the third time, with Murphy sitting at ringside after the match until the main event was under way.
There’s a promotion. Check out how the main event went down:
Opinion: I can go for this, though it might have been better had it not been for the third straight loss to Black. For the life of me I don’t get why WWE insists on doing something like this after knocking someone down a peg like this. That being said, Murphy getting a better spot like this is long overdue as WWE has been desperate for someone fresh. Maybe Murphy can make something out of the chance, which is more than some people have been able to do.
Do you like Murphy getting this spot? How will he do? Let us know in the comments below.
