Someone has to follow it up. One of the biggest stories in WWE over the last few months has been the rise of the Fiend, who has become one of the top stars in the company. Now the Universal Champion, Bray Wyatt has become a monster and there are few who can stand up to him. One such name is Daniel Bryan, and things are about to get more interesting for him.
Earlier this month, Bryan made a surprise return at Tables, Ladders And Chairs. While Bryan himself showing up was not the biggest surprise, he was now back in the same look he sported earlier in his career. The long hair and huge beard were gone and now it seems that he is going with a hybrid of the American Dragon and the YES Movement. That is quite the way to fight the Fiend, but what is next for Bryan?
According to Tom Colohue on the Dropkick DiSKussions podcast, Bryan is likely finishing up with the Fiend at the Royal Rumble and then moving back into a feud with Shinsuke Nakamura for the Intercontinental Title. Bryan had been dealing with Nakamura in October but never actually faced him for the title. There is no word on when Bryan vs. Nakamura would likely take place.
It was an interesting discussion. Check out the full podcast:
They had some plans. Check out where things were before everything went nuts:
Opinion: Well if you insist. Bryan is the kind of guy who can work against anyone and having him face off against the combination of Nakamura and Sami Zayn could be rather entertaining. It could make for some interesting matches and Bryan getting the title back would not sound like the most ridiculous thing in the world. That is designed to be the wrestler’s title and Bryan fits that role as well as anyone else.
