Sometimes there is no excuse. There are a lot of things going on in wrestling at the moment and a lot of that is due to AEW becoming the second biggest wrestling company in America almost overnight. The company only debuted about seven months ago and now has a two hour live show every Wednesday night. That is quite the remarkable progress, but it does not mean that everything is perfect.

When wrestling airs live, there are going to be some situations that do not go as well as they should. It’s the nature of the situation and sometimes, the camera catches what happens. This can be a major problem when you’re on national television and there is no way to hide what happened. Occasionally you can just shrug it off, but some of them are a lot worse than others.

This week’s edition of Dynamite ended in a huge beatdown from the Dark Order, as they attacked the Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Cody and several others. The segment featured several masked men attacking those wrestlers in a melee. However, the one attacking Dustin Rhodes threw several punches which clearly missed by several inches, as he seemed to be punching the air next to Rhodes’ head. This was clearly shown on the broadcast, prompting several wrestlers to respond on Twitter.

This just looks bad. Check out the bad attack, plus several wrestlers responding:

Opinion: Egads man. I know there are some problems that can’t be avoided but how could you do this on national television and think it would be ok? This looked terrible and there is no way to make it sound better. It shouldn’t be that hard to fake some punches and have Rhodes just lay there. Rhodes is just there and on the receiving end but did nothing wrong. I’m not sure who was under the mask but this was just atrocious.

How bad did this look? What should happen to the masked man? Let us know in the comments below.
