RUMOR KILLER On John Cena’s WWE Status

You can see him. I know he might not be the most popular star in the world but there are very few names in the history of wrestling on the same level as John Cena. Over the course of his career, Cena went from little more than just another person on the roster to one of the biggest stars of all time. That is one heck of a transformation and things might not even be done yet.

One of the strangest things about Cena’s career was how it just kind of ended. Over the last few years, Cena has all but left the wrestling business to become a full time actor. That’s not a bad thing as Cena has more than put in his time inside the ring and been as professional as any high level star. Then he was just kind of gone one day, but it might not be as cut and dry as it has been reported to be.

Earlier this week, rumors started to circulate that Cena’s WWE contract had expired, allowing him to be a free agent for other promotions. However, the story was attributed to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, though there was no reference to it in the latest edition. It is not known when Cena’s contract expires, but Cena has made it clear that he has no interest in wrestling anywhere but WWE.

Opinion: I’m not sure if Cena is ever going to wrestle a big match again, but I can’t imagine that he ever wrestles anywhere else. Why in the world would you go anywhere else when you are one of the biggest stars WWE has ever seen? If for some reason Cena ever needed to be back in wrestling full time, he would be the top star on Monday Night Raw in the blink of an eye.
