Which way do you want to go? There are all kinds of wrestlers throughout history and some of them are going to be more well received than others. A lot of their reputation is going to be based on what you are looking for in a wrestler. Some people want to see more technical skills while others are looking for charisma. Every fan has an opinion of their own, but it can be interesting to see what a legendary wrestler would think.

There are very few people who will argue that Bret Hart is one of the best professional wrestlers of all time. A five time WWE Champion, Hart is on the short list of most technically sound wrestlers ever and had a level of realism to him that you couldn’t quite fake. It made him a lot of fun to watch, but he might not be everyone’s cup of tea. Hart compared himself to another legend and the results were interesting.

In the latest edition of his Confessions of the Hitman by way of Wrestlinginc.com, Hart rates Hulk Hogan’s career and compares it to himself. This includes a look at three different categories with a score out of ten each. First is look, mainly focusing on how much attention someone draws to themselves based on their physical appearance alone. Second is microphone skills, or how well you can make people believe you through your interviews. Finally is pure wrestling skills, focusing on how you look in the ring and how sound you are.

Hart gave Hogan and himself the following scores:

Hogan
Look – 10/10
Mic Skills – 10/10
Wrestling Skills – 2/10
Total – 22/30

Hart
Look – 7/10
Mic Skills – 5/10
Wrestling Skills – 10/10
Total – 22/30

The two have met before. Check out the two of them on their own and then against each other:

Opinion: This is one of those things where you could look at it in a dozen different ways and figure out various conclusions. There are so many different ways to grade a wrestler and while this may seem like a fairly logical way, it is rather difficult to compare someone like Hogan to Hart. They wrestled such a different styles and while they may have been doing the same job, they were doing it in very different ways. It’s certainly fun to discuss though and that’s always interesting to see.

Do you prefer Hart or Hogan? How would you grade them on Hart’s scale? Let us know in the comments below.
