The more plans change for WWE. We are in the middle of a never before seen global pandemic due to the spread of the Coronavirus. It is causing things to change every single day, with some of the changes being more long term than others. That is the kind of thing that can shake up everything going on around us and it is the case with wrestling as well. It turns out that we might have lost something big as a result.
We are coming up on the summer in WWE and that is when things can often get big in a hurry. With so many things going on at once, WWE can often need to create a big story to wrap everything together. That can be harder than it seems due to all of the moving parts and in the current climate things might be even more complicated. Actually, things have gotten a little too complicated.
According to the WrestleVotes Twitter account, WWE had a major story planned for the summer but was forced to cancel it due to the Coronavirus causing a lack of fans in attendance. There is no word on what the story was, who it would have involved or whether it will be picked up again in the future. The story was said to have been on the scale of Vince McMahon’s murder or the Nexus Invasion.
FWIW: I’ve been told there was a long major storyline that was to unfold over the span of weeks during the spring & summer, similar to the McMahon limo explosion or the Nexus invasion debut, that was put on hold due to no fans in attendance. Crowd reaction plays a major part.

Those were two big ones. Check out how they looked at the time:
Opinion: I’m not sure what to think about this, mainly because there are so few details available. Something like this could mean multiple things and that makes for some interesting possibilities. WWE could have several different scenarios and we still might see the big story take place. That can make for some interesting television and hopefully we get to see it one day, whatever it is.
