Two more Hall of Famers are available. After several months as regulars on the WWE pre-shows, Lita and Jerry Lawler have both been removed from their roles according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. While there is no reason given for these moves, both are still under contract and will still appear for promotional appearances and for special events such as the Hall of Fame ceremony. The pre-shows, at least for “Monday Night Raw” and “Smackdown Live”, will now be hosted by Charly Caruso and Booker T.

Lawler was removed from his regular commentary role back in July after being taken off TV for about two weeks due to domestic violence charges. These charges were later dropped and Lawler returned to TV, only to be taken off again a few weeks later. Lita has been on the shows since earlier this year and has also been working on the creative team.

This isn’t the biggest change in the world and doesn’t make a huge difference. The pre-shows don’t mean much other than as a way to bring in some of the fans who haven’t been paying the closest attention and almost any hosts can do that. It doesn’t make sense to bring in two people when you can use Booker and Caruso, the latter of whom is already at the arena.

Will you miss either of the two departing hosts? Do you watch the WWE pre-shows? Let us know in the comments below.
