Put him on the list. There are a lot of wrestling promotions in the world but there is only one WWE. While you may or may not be a fan of how WWE runs things, there is no denying that they are the biggest and most successful wrestling promotion in the world. This has been the case for a long time now and a lot of wrestlers want to make it there one day. Another wrestler has made it happen.

Earlier this year, Evolve Wrestling shut down and was sold to WWE after several years of financial issues. The company was a near pipeline to WWE with several Evolve wrestlers appearing in WWE, showing that they know how to train wrestlers in a way that WWE likes. That is something very valuable to WWE, and even now that the promotion has closed, Evolve has provided at least one more star to WWE.

According to PWInsider.com, former Evolve star Leon Ruff has signed with WWE on an NXT developmental deal. Ruff has appeared on both NXT and 205 Live in recent months, often as an enhancement talent. During his time with Evolve, Ruff won the Tag Team Titles with partner AR Fox. Ruff is said to be the first of multiple Evolve wrestlers who will be signing with WWE.

Ruff has gotten some attention. Check out the WWE Performance Center’s look at him:

Opinion: I’m not sure what to expect from Ruff but you can expect multiple signings like this when a company goes out of business. WWE can come through and pick up who they want and I can’t imagine many people are going to turn them down. Evolve and WWE have had a relationship for a long time now and it makes sense that they have a list of people they would be interested in.

Has Ruff impressed you so far? Who else will WWE sign from Evolve? Let us know in the comments below.
