It has crossover appeal. There are a lot of things going on in WWE at the moment and some of those things are going to be more successful than others. With so much stuff going on, it isn’t realistic to expect everything to work at such a high level. As you can probably tell, some shows are a higher priority for WWE and that means they need to give some of their other efforts a bit of a boost at times. That seems to be the case with one of their less popular shows and it could make for some interesting changes.

This week on 205 Live, General Manager Drake Maverick announced a new talent sharing agreement with NXT. From now on, NXT talents will be allowed to appear and wrestle on 205 Live, bringing in a fresh batch of wrestlers to the show. At the moment, it is not clear which wrestlers will be appearing on 205 Live or how frequently this will be the case. This move comes less than a month after the Cruiserweight Title was officially renamed the NXT Cruiserweight Title, as well as after Triple H announced the two shows coming closer together.

The crossover can be awesome. Check out what happens when an NXT talent shows up on 205 Live:

Opinion: I don’t think this is going to be the thing that saves 205 Live but it can give it a boost for the time being. The show needs some kind of a spark to wake it up a little bit and maybe some guest stars from NXT could do it a lot of good. There aren’t many things left to keep 205 Live going and at least this can get some more names on television. 205 Live is the definition of a niche show so if NXT can give it a little bit of a bigger base, it could do them some good.
