That makes me smile. There are a lot of things on the WWE Network. With so many different shows to watch, it’s almost hard to know where to start. Of course there are all kinds of wrestling shows but there are other things available besides just the wrestling itself. That can make for some interesting ways to go and one of the best options is making a comeback.
I love hearing wrestling road stories. There are some absolutely ridiculous things that take place outside the ring and behind the scenes, with wrestlers being the only people who can possibly do these stories justice. They are some of the most fascinating things you will ever hear and wrestlers of any experience level can have them. Now, we will be getting a chance to hear even more of them.
During a recent episode of the Jerry Lawler Show podcast, Lawler announced that WWE Story Time will be returning with Lawler taking the place of former host Gene Okerlund. The show features short form stories told by wrestlers and wrestling personalities and being shown through humorous animation. No episodes have been released since Okerlund’s death in January 2019 and there is no word on when the next episodes will air.
Story Time is one of the best things you’ll see from WWE. Check out some of their best material:
Opinion: I’d call this good news. The show is one of the best things that WWE has done in a long time from an entertainment perspective and it should be great to see it back. Lawler makes as much sense as anyone else to follow Okerlund and it’s not like the host was the most important part of the show anyway. Just give us a variety of legends and wrestlers telling stories and we should be in for a great time.
