And it’s actually a rematch. It has been announced on WWE’s official Twitter that Brock Lesnar will face Rusev at the WWE house show in Mexico City, Mexico on December 3. This will be the second time Lesnar has faced Rusev at a house show this year as he previously defeated Rusev on February 6, 2016 at a show in San Jose, California.

Odds are this will be Lesnar’s first match after his match against Goldberg at “Survivor Series 2016”. Lesnar regularly wrestles a handful of house show matches a year and has faced names such as Rusev, Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Sheamus this year alone. Special attractions like this are often brought in for overseas house shows, such as the Undertaker, who appeared at some shows in Mexico in October 2015.

This is one of those ideas that you don’t need to think too hard about. Lesnar is still a special attraction and if you can bring him in for a five to ten minute match that only the live audience is going to get to see, there’s a good chance you’ll sell some more tickets. It helps that Lesnar is on TV at the moment too and will be fresh in the minds of fans.
