It’s something that happens to every wrestling promotion. Wrestlers are athletes and that is going to leave them very susceptible to injuries. Some of these can be a lot worse than others but you never know how bad one is going to be. There is a big difference between a career ending injury and one that only puts a wrestler on the shelf for a short time, but there is no such thing as a good one. As a new company, AEW does not have a long history with injuries, but one of their more popular stars is getting them some unwanted experience.

During this week’s episode of Dynamite, it was announced that Luchasaurus was being pulled from the Tag Team Title tournament due to a thigh injury. As a result, he was replaced in his match with Marko Stunt, who teamed with Jungle Boy to face the Lucha Bros in a losing effort. At the moment, there is no word on how long Luchasaurus will be out or when he suffered the injury in the first place. Luchasaurus’ team with Jungle Boy and Stunt, collectively known as the Jurassic Express, does not have any other matches scheduled at the moment.

Luchasaurus is a talented guy. Check out what he can do when he is healthy:

Opinion: Hopefully this isn’t something that is going to keep Luchasaurus on the shelf for too long as he and the rest of Jurassic Express is on a roll at the moment. The team has become one of the more popular acts in wrestling and the big man/little man combination that he and Jungle Boy have going is working very well. A muscle injury like this can take extra time to heal though as you never know how long it can take to get completely better. It might start getting better and then get hurt all over again, but hopefully it gets better sooner rather than later.

What do you think of Luchasaurus? Would he be better on his own? Let us know in the comments below.
