Call it an international agreement. There are a lot of wrestling organizations throughout the world and that means there are a lot of wrestlers who would be wanted by a lot of those organizations. At the end of the day, whether you like them or not, WWE dwarfs almost every wrestling promotion in almost every conceivable way. That means that they are going to get a lot of the top talent, but every now and then they are willing to share, which can make for some interesting developments.

Cain Velasquez was a guest on Ariel Hewani’s MMA Show and explained that despite being under contract with WWE, he will still be allowed to perform his previously scheduled date with AAA in Mexico. In addition, Velasquez will wrestle on another AAA show of AAA’s choosing in the future. Velasquez debuted with WWE on the October 4 episode of SmackDown on FOX and will challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship on October 31 at Crown Jewel.

There is a lot to cover here. Check out the full interview:

Opinion: That’s rather nice of WWE and something they probably didn’t have to do. At the same time though, it also probably keeps them out of some sort of legal issues if they were pulling a star like Velasquez from what would likely be a pair of big shows. Velasquez is an interesting case as he is having his first match in what might be the main event of a major show. When else are you going to see something like that happen? It is very rare and WWE is taking a risk by putting him in that situation, but maybe it will work out like Ronda Rousey did last year.

Is this a good move for WWE? How well will Velasquez do in the ring? Let us know in the comments below.
