The new audience. Last year, AEW Dynamite debuted and the wrestling world was shaken up in a pretty big way. It changed the way Wednesday nights worked as NXT debuted right around the same time, setting up the Wednesday Night Wars. However, the more interesting question is becoming how close can Dynamite get to Monday Night Raw and SmackDown, which are not doing well whatsoever as of late. Now, Dynamite has surpassed them in an important area.

One thing that AEW has been mentioning as of late is demographics, which may sound like a rather strange thing to hear about on a wrestling show but they have quite the importance in television. It’s true that an audience may be watching, but it is also important to know what kind of an audience it is. AEW’s audience is growing in recent weeks, and that is the case in one group in particular.

According to Dave Meltzer on Twitter, this week’s Dynamite defeated both the most recent Monday Night Raw and SmackDown in the 18-34 female demographic. This is the first time that Dynamite has beaten both shows in the same category. It is also noted that Dynamite did this while also up against another wrestling show, while Monday Night Raw and SmackDown have no direct wrestling competition.

It was a big show this week too. Check out some of the best parts:

Opinion: It’s still very early in what could be a years long battle, but Dynamite has certainly started making an impact on the wrestling world. Even if you discount what they are doing, what does it say about how low the main WWE shows have sunk? It is very rare to get some positive news out of a WWE audience or viewership number these days and things seem like they are going to be getting even worse in the near future. This could get interesting, and things are not looking great at the moment.

What is the best wrestling show at the moment? Will Dynamite ever catch the main WWE shows? Let us know in the comments below.
