The Royal Rumble is always one of the most special events of the year. The winner of the match will have the opportunity to challenge the champion of their choosing at WrestleMania and punch their ticket to the main event of the show. However, entering at the beginning of the match makes it more difficult to accomplish this task, as they then have to outlast 28 other Superstars to become the winner of the match.

Therefore, who will be entering at #1 and #2 in the 2021 Royal Rumble match?

Tonight, on a special edition of WWE Backstage on FS1, it was announced that Randy Orton and Edge will be the first two participants in this year’s match. Edge declared that he was going to be entering this past week on Raw.

Check out the moment that reignited this rivalry:

This will be Edge’s first match since April 2020 when he tore his tricep in a match against Randy Orton.

Editor’s Opinion:

Interesting choice for the first two entrants. I do think that this diminishes Edge’s chances to win the whole thing, as going 60-plus minutes as a 47-year old competitor is a daunting task. However, you can never say never in the wrestling business!
