It’s the times that we live in. Earlier today, Mia Yim, who wrestles under the name ‘Reckoning’ as a part of the group RETRIBUTION, announced that she has tested positive for COVID-19 and will not be competing in the Royal Rumble this weekend.
She made the announcement via Twitter, along with the following quote:
“This morning at around 10:30 am, I debunked a rumor stating I was positive with Covid,” Yim wrote. “For that, I must make a statement. I have been getting tested every week for several months now, all have been negatives. I was negative last week. I got tested this afternoon, less than an hour ago and it came back positive. Please respect my privacy. Please stay safe, wash your hands, and wear a mask. See you all soon!”

Yim was known as the Head Baddie in Charge, or HBIC, in NXT, which is where her Twitter username comes from. Check out what she’s been doing as of late:
We at Wrestling Rumors wish Yim a speedy recovery and hope to see her back in a wrestling ring very soon.
Of all the times to get this awful virus, it had to happen during Royal Rumble weekend. As someone who has had this thing, I can tell you that it is no joke and I don’t wish it upon anyone. Yim is a very talented athlete and I truly believe that her full potential has not been realized on the main roster. We all hope that she gets well very soon and is back in the ring, showing complete domination!
