WWE Advertises AJ Lee for European Tour in May

As we previously reported, former Divas Champion AJ Lee took time off from WWE, presumably due to her engagement to CM Punk. Prior to her leave of absence from the company, on the post-WrestleMania XXX edition of “Monday Night Raw,” she lost her Divas Championship to debuting NXT star, Paige.

Following her leave, there were rumors that AJ would be back with WWE at some point in time during the month of May, returning on WWE’s WrestleMania Revenge Tour in European countries. Now, these previous reports have been confirmed, as AJ Lee is now being advertised for the tour.

On May 14, 2014, WWE’s European tour begins in Glasgow, Scotland. The tour continues through May 22, with an event scheduled for each of the nine days. Included in the tour, are two tapings of WWE programming. On May 19, “Monday Night Raw” will be taped in London at The O2. The next night, both “WWE Main Event” and “WWE Smackdown” will be taped from the same location.

Editor’s Note

It’s nice to see some confirmation from WWE’s end on AJ Lee’s return from a short stint off. It will be interesting to see where AJ goes following her reemergence. One would assume that she will feud with Paige, but I feel that a Paige vs. AJ Lee rematch would be best saved for “SummerSlam.”
